In late 2018, VGP was approached by Materials Management Group (MMG), the leading local environmental firm, to assist with their Orleans Parish School Board Asbestos Abatement program involving multiple aging and Hurricane Katrina-damaged facilities. Specifically, MMG asked VGP to fulfill the role of the Owner’s Representative and Construction Manager for Village de L’Est Elementary School and Rosenwald Elementary School, both in New Orleans, LA.

Approach

VGP was responsible for the oversight of removal and abatement of acoustic ceiling tiles, carpets, loose furniture and TSI piping, as well as reinstallation of new acoustic ceiling tiles and carpet. The project was completed on time, under budget, and to the full satisfaction of our client and the Owner.
